Once again, Engineering News-Record has named CH2M HILL No. 1 for environmental firms.This is the fifth consecutive year that the firm has maintained the top spot in this category.
In its announcement of the rankings, ENR states, "CH2M HILL Ltd. managed to improve its revenue in 2009 and hang on to the top spot again this year, without an acquisition…”
The magazine adds, "Over the past five years, ENR's Top 200 Environmental Firms were on a roll, increasing their total revenue in our 2009 survey to more than $52 billion. But this year's results could not withstand the ravages of recession, with total revenue sliding 8.2%. Many Top 200 participants, however, are optimistic that recent events will keep environmental priorities front and center and generate opportunities that lead to an upturn.”
